Personal History
My name is Anthony Tarsi, I'm 17 and I live in the small town of Iron River Mi. I like to hunt, snowmobile and of course motocross. I got my first dirt bike about 6 years ago and it was a Suzuki Drz-125. I loved to ride. I rode my dirtbike every chance I got. A couple years later I talked my mom into taking me and a few friends to a motocross track for my birthday to ride our trail bikes. I was instantly hooked. I went back to that track one more time on the drz then that next year I bought my first race bike. An 09 RMZ 250. I knew I wanted to race but I wasn't comfortable enough on the new bike yet. The summer of 2011 was the first year I raced. We made it to a few races that were close to home and had a blast. I wish I could have started racing earlier but I'm happy to be racing at all. This summer was an awesome summer. Every weekend from the beginning of April to the beginning of August I was eithe practicing or racing somewhere. My season was cut short though due to a crash in early August. I ended up breaking my shoulder and having to get surgery. I am recovering fast and looking forward to 2013.
Riding Goals
My riding goals for the 2012 race season was just getting better at the basics. I worked on cornering, jumping, and holeshots. After many hours of practice cornering was my best skill. I got many compliments on my corners from both spectators and racers. I also improved greatly on jumping. On the track I always practice at, I was able to clear every jump by the last time I practiced there. I also got a lot better at holeshots too. I got alot more comfortable bangin' bars at the start and pulled a couple 2nd and 3rd place holeshots over the season. My goals for the 2013 season are to get all healed up, stay in shape, and start practicing asap.
Competitive Highlights
Some of my highlights for my second year racing were: 4th place 250C at Degraves MX, 25th/193 overall for 250C and 24th/169 overall for Open C in District 16. I was up to 12th and 13th overall before I crashed.
