Personal History

My name is Anthony Reed, I am 8 years old and have been riding a motorcycle since I was 1 year old with training wheels of coarse. I learned to ride a bicycle without training wheels when I was 3. I raced my first motorcycle race at 4 and have been racing ever since.I have an older sister that pushes me to get faster so I can beat her because I hate getting beat especially by a girl even if she is 14.I really like to ride the single track trails in western CO with my dad and sister.I am home schooled some I can have more opportunities to go to races farther away and compete with different kids.

Riding Goals

I won the points this year but came in second in the first two races before I got competetive and did not want to loose.I want to win every mini race this coming year and also compete in a few of the 65 races. I am small for my age so my dad had to take all the seat foam off my kx65 and lower the suspension all the way down and I still can't touch very well, but you can't have everything perfect.I mainly will be racing the WEBE Racing harescramble series which has two nationals, one in Monticelo UT and Espanola NM. I am also planning on a couple of motorcross races in Colorado and 2 enduros this coming year.I would really like to get some good suspension for my crf50 so that it will handle the jumps and whoops like the ktm pro 50's that I mainly compete agianst.

Competitive Highlights

For the 2007 series I ran neck and neck with 2 different kids for the first 2 races but could not pass for the win. When the 3rd race came around I was determined to win and win big. The #36 bike had been getting the holeshot  on his KTM pro senior 50 all year and this would be no different, but this race at the start finish line I ran it into the first corner hard and passed him like he was standing still and never looked back and lapped everyone in the field but #36 and was only 20 seconds from that in just a 5 lap, 20 min. race. From that point I won the rest of the races. The last race of the season was a National Harescramble in Espanola NM where when we arrived we seen a team with 2 Cobra's and a pro senior 50 setting there and I thought ooh no. My dad told me to go run my race and leave nothing on the track. The start came and of coarse I came out 4 behind those kids but by the second lap was in first,2nd and 3rd place was a train swapping posisions the whole race but I made no mistakes and my BBR honda would pull those liquids out of every corner and they just could not rattle me in the corners. I won by about 3 seconds, and the race coordinators said that it was the first 4-stroke to ever win a national 50cc race on a 4-stroke. My bike has an 88cc kit but the susp. is all stock. It runs extremely well but is nowhere close the the liquid 50,s.
