Personal History

My Name is Anthony Montante and I'm a 19 year old Motivated Rider. I've grown up riding in the desert with my family and friends starting on a Honda XR50 when I was 6 years old.  My family has always rode Honda's, so I have had a 70, a 100 and CRF150R.  My current bike, a '10 CRF250R is awesome and it has really helped me become a better rider.

Riding Goals

I currently train daily by working with weights and running.  I have been working with a moto cross instructor for additional training on the track and off the track since April this year, 2012.  I am focused on moving up in the novice class so that I can continue to challenge myself to be the best rider possible. My ULTIMATE GOAL is to ride for a FACTORY TEAM and continue my LOVE for riding. I am looking forward to introducing myself to sponsors who will support my goals and in turn I will be able to promote their products with good attitude, drive, WINS and dependability.

Competitive Highlights

I started racing at the AV Motoplex in Lancaster, California in April, 2011 in their Spring series race and finished with an overall win of 4th place in the 85 beginner class on a Honda CRF150R.  I then raced AV Motoplex's Smokin Summer series and finished at #1 overall of six races on my CRF150R.  Then since I had entered the SRA Grand Prix at Glen Helen in San Dimas, California and finished 3rd on my CFR250R.

AV Motoplex soon had their Full Throttle Fall Series and I finshed 1st in round 2 and 3 on my CRF250R.  My Dad and I then entered the Castaic Race Around the Lake and I finished 5 laps at 3 1/2 miles in 17th place out of 35 competitors.  I just raced at AV Motoplex on my CRF250R and got the hole shot and placed 3rd, unfortunately my rear tire went flat and I was unable to race the 2nd race.  I am looking forward to my next race at Glen Helen in 2 weeks.

After my 3rd place beginner finish at Glen Helen, I continued to train on the track with my instructor and work out hard everyday to keep me in the best shape possible for anything that comes at me.

I am now Racing in the Muscle Milk Transworld MX series and just completed my first full series of 5 rounds, placing 4th overall in the Novice class. The Summer series has kicked off and in the 1st round I place 7th for now. We'll see how the points roll but I am confident that with my continued training, I WILL DO MUCH BETTER!
