Personal History

Dirt bikes have been a major part of my life since I was 3 years old. My father put me on my very first dirt bike (which I swiftly drove into the side of our house) and I was instantly hooked. I now have 3 children of my own, all of whom have multiple dirt bikes and are growing to love this sport much like I have

In my "professional" life I am employed as a Sergeant with the City of St. Mary's Police Department. My job allows me to focus on the benefits of community oriented policing. It's given me the rare opportunity to discuss the benefits of riding dirt bikes with both adults and children. It's always been fascinating to me when I speak with kids at some of the local schools and they say "you're the fast dirt bike rider!" I've realized I can use both my career and my favorite hobby to make a difference within both the community I live in and the community I've loved since I was 3 years old.

Riding Goals

Riding dirt bikes is a great way to escape many of the stressors in life. Riding a dirt bike is one of the rare times I can focus on what's in front of me rather than what's behind me.

This coming year I have 3 main goals. I've purposefully left out the typical "have fun and stay healthy" as those should be a given. First and foremost, I'm excited to watch my children get their feet wet in the racing scene. I can't wait to watch their progression throughout the year but mostly I can't wait to continue to teach them and spend as much time as possible with them.

Secondly, I want to have a positive impact on the young generation both within my city and within the racing community. I want to show the youth within my community how great this sport is and its profound impact it can have on anyone's family and life. Oftentimes children don't realize police are "normal" people who do "normal" things. I believe the biggest impact police officers can have is maintaining a relationship with the youth. Communities who have police officers as sports coaches tend to leave everlasting effects on the youth they teach. Oftentimes, children who race dirt bikes don't have the close relationships with police officers and don't see the "normal" side of them. Being able to engage with the youth and leaving a positive impression with them will be beneficial in every aspect.

Lastly, it is my goal to win the Vet A class championship in the AWRCS Harescramble series. I will also be competing in select GNCC events in the Vet A class.

Competitive Highlights

I have won over 200+ races and 16+ championships from AMA District 5 championships, PA State championships, and local championships.
