Personal History
My name is Andrew McLiesh, and riding is my way of life. I race all over Queensland from stanthorpe down west of Brisbane and as far north as Mareeba up west of Cairns. I race motocross, motard, supermoto, flat track, dirt track, long/short track. I am a carpenter by trade and have started to do my diesel fitting apprentiship. I work in Proserpine as a diesel fitter. I ride as offten as i can but work stops me from riding as offten as i would like. I have recently started riding motobikes again as i couldnt ride due to finance problems and work wasnt letting me ride. When i first got into motobikes i was very young and compeated nearly every weekend in 65/85 class. I was dong very well and got 2nd in queensland for junior 65s. but family became an issue and i could not ride anymore. So now I am older I have just started to get back in to the swing of things and started to compeate again. I race every type of racing i can which iam starting to focus on supermoto and Dirt Track more as i feel i can improve alot as i only started back doing supermoto this year from at least a 5 year break. I had my first race this year at the QLD supermoto champs which i was on a stock standard 2008 kx250F which just didnt have the power down the straights and this is where i got beaten, i bought a brand new 2012 kx250F (stock standard) which i raced the last round of the supermoto champs on which i got 1st in every race and my bike didnt let me down. My Lap time was only 2 seconds off the winner of the 450 class.
I love to ride and am hoping to get to a national level or international level, which i believe I have the talent needed, just with some support from sponsors would do me the world of good.
Riding Goals
My goal is to compeate in the Australia titles for supermoto and to get into the top point scoring positions
Hoping to make it to the big time in Supermoto
Another riding goal of mine is to get sponsors to help me out so i can do the best i can
Competitive Highlights
Australian Number 1 in S2 (450cc class 2013 4 Plate for Senior Dirt Track(forth highest points in senior)
Placed 3rd overall in the QLD supermoto champs which i missed out on the 2nd round in 2012
Got 1st for the first round of the Queensland Supoermoto Champs in 250 class and 3rd overall in the 450 class
2nd in QLD for Jr 65 in 2002 for MX
3rd overall for the Central QLD MX Series
