Personal History

I raced for Kawasaki Team Green in the GNCC series from 2005-2007, winning 3 A class national titles. In 2008 Jason Smigel decided to move me up to the XC2 pro lites class, and I was second in points until an ankle injury.  In 2009 Kawasaki’s off-road program was cut, so I raced few rounds as a privateer and decided to try some amateur motocross.  I ran 3 or 4 local events, and then qualified for the 250A class. At Lorettas I broke my hand in moto 2.  That obviously hurt my results, but was still able to finish inside the top 15, earning my pro license. I made the decision to try an Outdoor National the following year.  I qualified the main on my very first attempt at Highpoint in Mt. Morris, Pa where I had the second fastest unseated time. I would sprain my hand during the first moto while running in 25th.  Unfortunately that was the end of my day.  Since then I‘ve been plagued with problems from carpel tunnel and decided to take some time off.  In August of 2010 I began full time training riders at Durhamtown Plantation (a riding and racing facility in Union Point, Georgia).  I stayed there till November of last year - making the move to South of the Border Training Facility. This March after the Mill Creek National, I decided to leave the Border and start my own training school.  That is the reason I decided to qualify for Loretta Lynn's this year. I want to take it to the next level. I've completed my personal training certification courses and have been working alongside Tim Ulinski, my trainer/coach. He has multiple degrees in personal training/fitness and is an accomplished competitive cyclist.  He has taken me under his wing and is teaching me about my body, heart, and heart rate training. Combining this in my program just makes sense.

Before the LL Regional I had only been back on a bike for a few days. In fact it was a borrowed bike - the same goes for the Suzuki I rode in August. I plan on devoting a lot more time to my riding in the coming year. Being noticed as a top level rider again will just help validate my credentials as a trainer.  For the 2013 season I plan on attending at least 5 amateur nationals.
