Rider Updates
Aug 28 2015
Keep the money, I just need a bike and races to race. I just want to be able to ride everyday, and show the world I got what it takes. Can't wait the race tomorrow, getting to race full time sponsored riders, over 200 of some Africa's best, and a stacked almost 30 rider mx 2 class. Going to be rough, tough, and the best way to learn. I've only had 2 and a half months or so of riding in year since missing the last All Africa championship due to a broken collarbone, but I've been working hard and I'll definitely be fighting for good points. Time to do my country proud. Great track, can't believe villopoto rose here. Can't wait!

Strange lower back or tailbone pain that's persisted since last race, don't know how to describe it, very weird as I only feel it in certain positions sitting, but could not take any chances having a check up prior to the race as I would hate to miss this race for any reason.. Not long till our flight there. I pray for a fun, trouble free race, and look forward to competing against the best in Africa. I thank god for this opportunity, and look forward to continually showing this industry my undying commitment to this sport, and reaching the very top level.

Leaving in a couple of hours, so excited and so thankful for this opportunity to represent my country. In this sport, you could always have trained harder, I have been careful not to overtrain to be fresh for this but have trained hard in the weeks leading. Due to the supplementary regulations I will be competing in the Mx 2 class. This shall definitely be my toughest race yet, with the largest number of riders set to arrive that I've seen all my years of racing this competition in and out through 10 years. I look forward to giving it my all, and continuing to work even harder after the race, and hopefully I shall be able to find a race program soon enough. I pray to finish my education in university soon, and hopefully still be able to achieve my dream, and show the world I can do the seemingly impossible and become the best in the world at this. Thank you pro circuit for the sponsorship, I look forward to this weekends epic challenge and shall do the brand proud. Maybe one day I'll be a pro circuit rider

Yesterday's race could have gone much better. Unfortunately after a great start in Heat 1 in 3rd and charging forward in a muddy first race, went down before the end of lap 1 and had both my grips come off, and only managed to get the bike started and going again after being two laps down, but pushed through to finish the race for the points. Heat 2 was much better finishing in a solid 4th place, but still had room for improvement should have been closer to the podium. I started in 3rd again but the race was restarted, and had to claw my way up. Last race i managed yet another fairly decent start but went down in 4th place and broke my front brake on lap 4, dropped two positions over the next two laps adjusting to riding without a front brake, but managed to pick up a position on the last lap after pushing through. Over all, there was lots of ups and downs, but i'm happy with my progress and much improved fitness. Unhappy with my 5th place, but encouraged as i now feel a lot more confident in being able to make it to the top of the box. Just got to keep plugging away. So thankful to my sponsor pro circuit, as my exhaust had me getting good starts with ease. I thank the lord for a safe race day, and look forward to the next one. Back to practice tomorrow. Footage of the race, and extra footage out soon over the next week.

Great to see how many more kids we have racing from the younger classes, that's the future of the sport. Great competition between them. Hoping I will do myself and all those supporting me, justice this weekend in my class. Been a while, but I'm excited to race again.

Can't stop dreaming of an opportunity to ride full time. Just happy for everyday on my bike now while it lasts. Couldn't do it without the help I've gotten to ride locally, I'm so so thankful. Hopefully can do My country proud later this month

Plugging away. Race day Sunday, first race in over a year. Confident in my training, just need to train even harder to be the fittest person out there

22 on Sunday. All I want to do is ride, and work even harder. Wish i could start a full time training program for my birthday. Either way, just happy to be able to ride right now while I can. Praying for the path to my dreams. Really enjoying training at the moment, only wish it never had to end.

Getting stronger and fitter, and much more consistent seat time. I thank god I can confirm my upcoming events, and look forward to the next race so I can gauge my progress. To the gym or to the track. Trying to work hard and put in the hours everyday. Loving this opportunity to ride. Praying to somehow have more of a riding program than just in summers. #MxLife

Missed the first two days, but started my first day till the 13th of training with Sergey yesterday after getting my wrist cleared. Great guy, tough day, 11 - 5 but looking forward to the results of all the hard work. So thankful for each hour, each day on the bike. #Mx of African Nations 2015

Never ever EVER giving up. I only grow hungrier each day. On ANY given chance, I will show I'm willing to work harder than anyone to accomplish my dreams.

I just want to ride all day, everyday! In any case, gym tomorrow 7-9 .. Just got to try finish these assignments so I can properly focus on riding and getting fitter. #MxofAfrica 2015 #Dreamingofbiggerraces

Sadly track is closed this week, but i've been back in the gym 7-9 am .. Yet to get my wrist checked but it's been much better. 25km on the spin bike in 50 mins, need to just keep building everyday

45 km a lap, 5 laps (jury made it 4 on race day due to difficulty). The FIM enduro was beastly, but a great experience all the same. 55 riders, and almost 10 dropped out after just one practice lap on Friday, and another 19 did not finish on Saturday. I ended up having to retire at the end of lap one due to an "apparent" minor wrist fracture I picked up the day before in the practice lap. I don't think it is at all, I was fine other than a little pain, just lost a little movement and the amount of pressure it could hold at the time, but track is closed this week anyway. So going to keep gyming this week, and get my wrist checked over by a specialist, and keep focusing on MxoN Africa in Zibmabwe in August. Pictures from this weekend up soon. Thanks to my sponsor pro circuit, my exhaust hooked up great through the weekend! Bike is still all in one piece, can't wait to hop back on!

First event tomorrow in a while. Both continental and national. I cannot wait! I thank god for this and every oppurtunity. Somehow my mum worked magic and we got my licences and entries completed as well as a good first day of getting back in to it. All in a day's work. Couldn't be happier

Landed home yesterday, and plan to race this weekend a round of the enduro national championship. Shame I just missed the last round of the national motocross championship this past Sunday. Any seat time though is great practice. Working everyday towards the dream, ain't no better feeling

Finally back home in Kenya, and I thank god I made it all the way back with my new exhaust, I'd rather have sold all my clothes. Thank goodness the exhaust fit, so I actually have a bike I can ride again. Big thanks to pro circuit for the sponsorship, time to finally get back to work on the track

All I can think about is how I wish I could live on a track. My laptop, a bed, my bike. There is nothing else I would need or that I do need in my life.
Some do it for money, others for fame. I just want to show honour and gain it. I want to earn respect and keep it.

I may have the same dream as hundreds of thousands, but I can't wait to show I not only want if more than anyone else, but I am prepared to work harder than any of the other thousands even given half a chance. I want to work hard, do well and still be humble. I want to set a new kind of a good example. Thank you God for blessing me with even just the vision of this dream.

If I can't ride, I am reading, gaming, dreaming, watching, breathing motocross. Great championships this summer so far, with the mxgp series, but also my favourite, the Lucas oil pro motocross championship. Can't believe what happened to Tomac last weekend, and that he is now out. Wish him all the best. Hope to see a great fight for the rest of the points now between Roczen and Dungey. I look forward to later on seeing Febvre do more wonders in his amazing impressive rookie year in the mx1 at the mxgp against such heavyweights as cairoili and desalle and already managed wins! Definitely wasn't as quick when he was in mx 2. Racing NEVER gets boring.
