Personal History
I am a 21-year-old college student at Oregon State University in my fourth year of school and will be graduating in March of 2025. In high school my major focus was on school sports, being a captain on my football and baseball teams. I am a hard worker as a student who also works at a feed store full time to pay for my education, living expenses, and racing. I have been riding more consistently in the last few months as I know that to continue progressing and to be competitive in higher classes I will need to ride more. I have been able to ride nearly once a week every week and have been making large amounts of progress recently. I have a passion for racing and riding and am looking forward to continuing to progress into the higher levels of racing.
Riding Goals
This year I am planning on racing the C classes full time. I will be competitive at local races and am hoping to go to a few Loretta Lynn Area qualifiers. Much of my riding will be at practice days to progress faster, but I will be doing a few big one-off races such as the Washougal Amateur Days race and the Top Gun Team Shootout. This year I am going to focus on riding as much as I can to qualify and be very competitive in the C Classes at Loretta’s in 2025. Starting in 2026, I am planning on living in the Sacramento area, to be able to ride multiple days a week in Northern California with the goal of going to Loretta Lynn’s in the College boy Class. After this, I have the goal of attending pro-am races over the next couple years and going to Loretta’s in the Open Pro Sport Class to gain my pro card and race select pro nationals as a privateer. This is a long list of goals going far into the future, but I have a passion for riding and am going to accomplish these goals. Below is the quick breakdown of the upcoming four seasons for me.
Competitive Highlights
This last year has been a difficult one for me riding, as I have been limited financially and due to time being a college student working full time. I was still able to race about once a month, but I only had one day off a week from work. In the last year I have been able to attend a couple Washougal Classic Seven Series races, placing 2nd at both races I attended in 450 D. I also competed in Before the Hill C/D which is class primarily raced by C riders and I was consistently in the top 50% at all races I raced that class in. I raced the 2nd round of the Pacific Northwest Triple Crown Series at Albany Mx and got 2nd in 450 D and 6th in BTH C/D and that is my most recent race. I also raced 250 C at the 125 Dream race and got 19th out of 43.
