Personal History
My name is Alstin Fraley and I currently ride a 2021 Yamaha YZ65. I was born on 8-31-2011 and live in the town of Gold Hill, NC. I began by riding a Honda XR50 and quickly graduated to my first real bike, a Kawasaki KX60. This is where I learned to ride a 2-stroke clutch bike. I practiced on this bike at home until I proved to my dad that I wanted to race. So for my 9th birthday, I was suprised with my YZ65 in 2020. I’m currently in my first race series ever and I have worked hard for my positioning. My dad is my mechanic and my at-home trainer. He doesn't have a motocross background but he has a professional armwrestling career that took him to the World Championships. He always challenges me mentally and physically, on and off the track.
Riding Goals
My racing goals this season are to podium in my 7-9 65cc class and to take top 5 in my 65D class. My practice goals consist of proper cornering technique and focusing on correct riding posture throughout the track. Dad always says that I will win races in the corners.
Competitive Highlights
This is my first year of competing on my Yamaha YZ65 and we are 1 race away from finishing our local championship series. I have currently advanced to 4th place (out of 24 competitors) in points in my 65cc 7-9 yr old class and still hold 8th place in my 65cc D class in points (out of 21 competitors). This season I also have 3 holeshots off the gate.
