Personal History
Hello,
My name is Alicia McCormick. I am a 28 year old mother to 2 wonderful little boys, a wife, and a four wheeler racer. I am an adrenaline junky with a zest for life and a definite competitive edge! I have a full time job, enjoy riding my road bike and mountain bike, jet skiing, snowmobiling, and anything we can do as a family.
My race quad, along with our son’s, is on display at Ye Olde Cycle Barn through the week all shined up and ready to race. Our son, Layne, won the 2013 class championship in the GNCC series!!! We are a race family, it’s what we do; we live it, we breathe it, we take pride in it!
This is my 2nd year racing and the 1st year running a full time schedule. I ran a full GNCC schedule, most of the WNYOA’s and a couple PA state races. My 2013 accomplishments include:
2013 Snowshoe and Gusher, GNCC class winner – Woman’s Amateur
Finished 3rd in points for the GNCC 2013 Woman’s Amateur class
6 WNYOA WINS
16th overall last WNYOA race
My final race this year was the GNCC Ironman. I moved up to the Pro row to see what I needed to do for the 2014 season. Unfortunately, I ran in mechanical issues the 2nd lap running in 2nd place, 30 seconds behind the leader. I felt fast and am confident I can run up front and be competitive.
This year I have learned so much. I had a good wreck, ran into mechanical failures and also had SUCCESS! I have become a much more mature and smart rider. The speed, maturity and drive that I have in racing have been a wicked combination! Next year I will be racing a full GNCC schedule in the Womans Pro class and also some of the WNYOA series. I am driven to do well and want to be a positive role model for young girls coming up through.
I am requesting to represent your company to the best of my ability in 2014. With your help and my determination, 2014 will be a great year for me! I promise to not let you down. I will represent your company to the highest degree of professionalism and class, and I will always give 100% in everything I do!!!
