Personal History

I started riding when I was seven. I received a Yamaha Raptor 50cc quad for Christmas, and my passion for riding took off. My skills improved greatly and I moved up to a Yamaha 80cc quad when I was nine years old. Due to difficulty finding a class for me to race in, I did not start competing until I was thirteen years old on a Yamaha 250cc quad. I have been racing this quad in the quad schoolboy class throughout District 6 and District 3 for the past three years. All three years have been a great learning experience, and I know I am improving greatly each year not only in how fast I ride but how smart I ride.

In addition, all my time that I don't spend on school or riding/racing is spent outside. I love any activity outside and am an avid camper, boater, hiker, and skier. Despite the above hobbies however, school always comes first for me.

I have been a high honors student the past six years of school and am continuing that now throughout my junior year of high school. My main interests are mathematics and science, especially biology. Community service is also another value of mine as I have helped with many church dinners, participated in my school's "interact" club, and spent numerous days volunteering at Cornell University.

Riding Goals

This coming year, I am switching from my Yamaha 250cc quad (quad schoolboy) to a Yamaha 450cc quad (quad novice), so I'm not exactly sure where I stand. However, last year I always had the speed to run up front in the quad schoolboy class, so I am hoping to at least run mid-pack in quad novice. I would also like to work a minimum of eight District 3 races into my schedule for this coming season.

Competitive Highlights

I consider each completed season a competitive highlight, but some specific highlights would definitely be when I got second place in the quad schoolboy class at the tri-state championships at Hurricane Hills (November 2010), and my first win this past season (July 2011) at Frozen Ocean MX. My greatest highlight however, was my first race (May 2009) at Hurricane Hills when I finally found a class to race in and fulfilled my dream after years of perseverance.
