Personal History
My Name is Alberto Gudino Jr. and I am 14 years old. I live in Pico Rivera, California, with my parents, nine-year-old brother, and our dog. I have a passion for music, motorsports, and the great outdoors. My joy of riding started at age two when my parents gave me a balance bike. I began riding a mountain bike on dirt roads at age four, ATV-quads at age five, mountain bike single-tracks at age seven, and dirt bikes at age ten. My little brother and I would build wooden ramps to jump in our front yard. Now we both ride dirt bikes together at our local race tracks at Glen Helen, Perris, and LACR. We have a great joy for riding bikes on paved roads, dirt roads, dirt trails, and paved trails.
I am also a musician. I began learning to play guitar at age four. In middle school, I formed a rock band with my classmates. My band, “Follow One,” has been together for a year and a half and performs at school events often. I also learned to play other instruments like bass, saxophone, and drums. Most of my free time is spent practicing at home, improving my instrument talents, and learning or writing new songs.
I also enjoy the great outdoors. When school is out, my family often plans trips to visit amazing places like our national parks. As a family, we enjoy hiking, camping, fishing, and biking, and are curious to explore places we have never been.
Academics are also important to me. I am currently taking several honors classes and have earned straight A's with the exception of a B+.
Riding Goals
I ride motocross because it teaches me that if you have a passion for something, you should always put your best effort into it, and if there is something that should be improved, then figure out ways to achieve your goal. This year, I want to earn multiple first-place finishes in my class and partner with new sponsors. My biggest goal in motocross is to qualify for Mammoth Motocross and get on the podium. If I can make it there, then I will do my best to qualify for Loretta's.
