Personal History
I grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania and always loved motocross. I watched racing on tv every chance I got and would look through the magazines at gas stations, dreaming about racing. I worked for neighbors to scrape up cash just to have a bike and took it out every chance I could through the woods on my family’s property. Riding has always been my greatest coping mechanism and stress relief. Along with some of the most memorable childhood moments with my dad because we both enjoyed motorsports. As much as I wish I could have raced as a kid, the financial support for the opportunity to race wasn’t in my cards. I pretty much started my working adult life once I got a driver’s license and hung up the helmet for over 10 years. During that period I joined the Air Force and continue to serve. I got stationed in the Pacific Northwest and rekindled my passion for the sport. Last year a coworker convinced me to buy another bike and it was the greatest decision I’ve made. What started as two co-workers riding turned into a group that seems to be growing and spending almost every weekend at the local tracks or ORV parks. It’s been a great adventure and I look forward to seeing how the rest of the journey plays out.
Riding Goals
My current goals are to work on my riding techniques and to start racing in the amateur class locally next year. It’s been a dream, but I’m finally in the position to make it a reality. I may not be the fastest rider out there, but I enjoy the competition and the opportunity to learn and advance in the sport I’m so passionate about.
Competitive Highlights
Although I am just getting back into the sport, I have rode various styles and sizes of bikes during my lifetime. I am planning on entering my amateur career in the “c” class at my local tracks this upcoming season.
