Personal History

well my name is abby chiasson, i obviously race motocross. i ride a honda cr85, also, my brother had a cr125 that he doesn't ride anymore so i think my dad will soon start me up on that. i love in lake charles, LA. there arent many tracks around here but i try to go to as many as i can in texas and louisiana. i really like to ride at three palms in conroe, texas and gravity alley mx, in breaux bridge louisiana. the first time i threw my leg over the bike, i loved it, and i even started off riding really good. i started on an old xr70, but one day at the track just a few monthes later, i started to want to go much faster. the xr wasn't up to my game! i couldnt clear any jumps and couldnt get any speed on straights. That day, i was riding and i was coming off the track when the rear suspension popped through the seat of my bike! the bolts became loose because i would continuously try to clear the doubles on the main track. i didnt like riding on the pee-wee track much. about a week later, my dad bought me my first fast bike, a kx65! i loved it and was riding so much better now that i was on a bigger and faster bike. unfortunately, when rita hit lake charles and cities around us, my mom and dad never had enough time to take me to a track, they were busy dealing with the house and stuff like that. i stopped riding for about a year and a half, then eventually got back into riding, i couldnt stand not riding! i had grown out of the 65 and my dad then bought me, my 2nd honda, my cr85. and now that bike means alot to me! i have been riding alot lately and have been practicig at i10 mx for the upcoming race. i will be racing the womens 85cc and up and 85cc 12-13. honestly, i think i will do VERY good in this race. (:

Riding Goals

next year, i am going to try and qualitfy for ponca and lorettas. i just need to keep practicing and getting better. i can tell the difference in my riding everytime i get off the track. im progressing. my dad helps me so much with my riding, and so do all of my friends. i am also going to try to start working with trainers, just to help with my posture and jumping. thatll help me alot too. i cant wait to start ridin the 125 and i think i might also be gettin a 150! it would be soooo cool to at least make it to nationals and thats a huge possibility. (:
