Personal History

The name is Aaron Ray Olson, As a kid I've always been an adrenaline junkie. So it was fit growing up around bikes that I start riding them. I didn't start with motocross until the end of 2012. Picked up a 13 yz250f and spent all year learning it, throwing it over jumps and building more comfort/confidence all around.

At the start of the 2014 season I came out strong with a lovely break to my collar bone in multiple places resulting in a plate and ten screws. Never thought 'd have surgery so soon, but realize that's the risk with this sport. (anyone ever had an IV in their foot? ...weird) The time I spend healing now is spent waiting to hop back on. My love for this can't let something like that hit mentally.

In preparation for this season i'll be attending L.A Fitness with a personal trainer to build the strength and stamina needed to go further with my riding.

Riding Goals

I don't believe in hope, that's simply allowing yourself failure. That's actually a quote from somewhere but I believe in it. I don't hope, but I plan on moving up to C class by the end of this year. When I can be back on the bike and get into races my goal is to be at the front of the pack. At least top five. I've always been hard on myself and very competitive.

Keeping healthy, training hard and getting as much time on the bike as possible is the plan. Which should continue after this broken collar bone thing. I'm trying to get as much support as I can for now to help the transition into racing this season an easier process. The help from my trainer, girlfriend, riding buddies and family has been more than what I could ask for, but I'm on this site to do just that.

By this time next year I will be registering to race at least one of the East coast AMA Arenacross Amateur races as well as going up a class in the local races in my area. Until then i'll be training to be at the top of my game when the gate drops for me next.
