Personal History

Im currently 25 years old. Some of the things I like to do when I'm not racing or riding the dirtbike are snowboarding, mt. biking, hiking, soccer, watching my nephew. I started riding dirtbikes when I was about 5 years old. We didn't have the best bikes and the gear had seen better days, but it was the most fun I had ever had. When I first started out my biggest problem was not shifting. For some reason I didn't want to shift but instead wanted to rev the motors until they blew up. Some how though my dad alway kept a bike going for me until one day in a race I just decided to shift and ended up 2nd.

Riding Goals

My goal for 2009 was to place in the top 10 overall, I met my goal and then some by placing 7th overall in the Michigan District 14 Harescramble series for 2009. In 2010 I will be racing the Expert class full time all year. My goal for 2010 will be to be in the top 5 at the end of the year, and get on the podium at as many races I can. With the help of my sponsors and some hard work I think this is more than with in my reach.

Competitive Highlights

The 2009 series was tough, with many bike problems and switching to a 450 and the end of the year it was hard to get consistant results. But one of my best finishes came aboard the 450 at the last race of the year. When the flag dropped I came off the line in 4th or 5th, no one moved much on the 1st lap but I slid out trying to make a pass in a muddy section. From there I let about 3 or more guys by and had to play catch up. I started feeling really comfortable on the bike and just started making passes and eventually made my way up to 4th overall only to let 2 guys by at the gas stop. I took off from gas and caught both riders on the same lap and never looked back. 2nd overall ran out of gas and I couldn't close on 1st or 2nd, so I place 3rd overall which is my best finish to date. It felt great to end the season with a podium.
