Personal History

My Name is Aaron Curry. I’ve being riding In the Texas Cross Country Racing Association since 1999. Started on a YZ80 and moved up in class and bike size ever since. In 2005 I took a break from racing when I joined the army. I was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Battalion, Recon  Platoon, Iron Rakkasans. I completed tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the service. After being shot in 2010 while deployed to Afghanistan, I decided to look into other career fields. I felt I had done my time, spanning from 2005-2011. I then became a firefighter with the McKinney Fire Department as a firefighter/Paramedic where i currently work and plan to one day retire from. Throughout the years I would ride as often as possible but wasn’t able to dedicate the time for a full race circuit. Now I’m back full swing. I’m currently in the over 30 intermediate class with the Texas Cross Country Racing Association. I’ll be hitting all the races this season and every season going forward. I’m even getting my daughter into it, she’ll be racing her first race in the peewee class April 2 in Jacksboro. She’s 7 years old and rides a PW50. I look forward to watching her progress as a rider. If I’m not at the station I’m at a local track practicing for the upcoming races which are every other weekend throughout most of the year. Well, that’s my story. Thank you for your consideration!!!
