Personal History

I am Jeremy Black, Chloe's dad and have registered and started this profile for my 8 year old daughter who has found an extreme passion for the sport of motocross. It started off rocky when she was 6 years old and had a Honda 50 to which she was riding, and very confident with as the throttle stuck one day sending her right into a fence. The accident cracked the bill of her helmet and hurt her ankle.   At this point she never wanted to ride again, until one day about 6 months later her brother was out back riding his Yamaha TTR 110 and she asked if she could try it.  I did not refuse!  She got on and took off never wanting to get back off.  She has since then been training at Jimmy Wienerts Training Facility in Maysville, NC just about ever weekend, and when she is not in a training session she is riding the tracks there, and in the local area.  Most recently she has moved on to a 2013 KTM 65 SX and mastered the clutch in one training session.  She keeps having ambitions to enter the next races coming up, but wants to build her confidence in the clutch and the traffic on the track. After her accident, it has been slow progress with no more pressure applied.  I have uploaded a few pictures of her after the most recent training session on the new bike and one with her in the garage buttoning up some weekly maintenance to prepare for the weekend. She does not only love to ride, but also like to learn as much in the garage as she can.  Updates on her progress will follow.

Riding Goals

Her riding goals are to continue perfecting her form, build confidence in traffic and enter her first race.

She has broke the ice with getting that first race out of the way and is now letting nothing get in her way from competing in every race she can in the future.

Competitive Highlights

Well Chloe entered into her first race today at the Halfmoon MX track for a race in the series of the Coastal Carolina Motocross 2017 Spring Series.  It was rough and very muddy from all the rain as it continued to fall all day, but she hung in there and is more addicted than ever now.
