Personal History

My parents gave me my first bike when I was ten years old. By the time I turned 15 I was begging them to let me race. My first race was at Woodland MX Park in Woodland, WA. I took 5th place and ended up going on to win the open c class championship that year. The following year I moved up to the b class and took 3rd overall for the open b championship at Washougal MX Park. I was having a blast racing and in 2006 I made it to the Loretta Lynn’s regional qualifier in Honey Lake, CA. I finished 4th, one place out of qualifying for the national, and later that year had to have knee surgery. I stopped racing after the surgery but continued to ride. I went to college and then started an apprenticeship which I completed. I am now a journeyman lineman at Clatskanie PUD. I bought a KTM 300 XCW last year and started racing again, giving up the track for trails. I raced the OMRA GP series last year and won the open expert class championship. I did not race in 2016 due to a tendon injury that set me back but I have been riding and am excited for 2017, starting with the annual hangover scrambles at Washougal on January 1st!

Riding Goals

For 2017 I plan to race the OMRA GP series, along with some NMA and NORCS off road races. My goal for the year is to win the OMRA open expert championship again. My current focus is to podium the upcoming hangover scrambles, where I have placed 4th two years in a row. My long-term goal is to move up to AA class and finish one season on the podium (hopefully next year)!
