Personal History

I've been a woods rider since I was a kid though my parents would never let me race so the first thing I did after graduating college was buy my first Liquid cooled 2002 yz250f and started racing with friends and haven't stopped since. Now a Motorbikes Plus KTM 450sxs 2017 rider and loving the orange bikes and the great support MBP gives our family.

I now have two young boys Lukas LaRue (13) Ktm 85, supermini and Owen LaRue (10) Ktm 65 & 85sxs whom both are racing competitively and have logged more seat time than most of my friends at this point. We travel all around in our toy hauler and love the mantra of "New Places and New Faces" waking up at a new track we drove through the night to get to, wake up, track walk and adapt to a new track before the first gate drop. I just got my expert plates but I normally run 30+, 40+, Vet Open or 450 A depending on where we are. I race but I'm also a dedicated mini dad, mechanic, and trainer for my boys as well as local promising up and comers from the east coast. We have our own track here in Rochester, NH where we have helped launch and expose motocross to many other youth riders and parents beyond my own two boys. I competed at the Loretta Lynn Northeast Regional Qualifiers as did my two sons last season. I missed going to the Amateur Nationals by one position so 2020 is the year. I'm healthy and hungry as are my kids. This past season we had to stay local due to an ill family member but for 2018 I want to make a

Highlights
I went from a mid pack woods racer to Top amateur and competitive B Vet rider in all classes in all 4 New England Race Organizations and recently moved to expert plates . I just moved up to the Expert Class and am excite about the move and progression this late in the game. It's a lifestyle for our family and friends. I told my boys I will at the very least keep racing until they can beat me. But I hope its longer then that at this progression rate of my boys!
