Rider Updates

Yesterday was the Delaware Hare scramble.  I typically do pretty well at this race but this year was a little tough because ive been so busy at college now and since im a freshman first semester, its hard to get a car to go riding. Next year ill have my car and riding alot more and it should be my last season as a C rider. Ive been busting my ass lately working out and everything and it definately paid off this weekend because i didnt feel fatigued at any point during the mud/hell race. Finished 4th of atleast 20+ riders (i didnt get a good look at the results and how many were in my class before i went to load up the truck). 4th is good and all, but i was still pretty bummed because i had my heart set on a podium finish. I knew where i lost it too. it was the second to last lap, i was off of the right line by about 4 inches which sent me into a puddle up to about my side number plates, just under the exhaust. i hopped off, fought the suction of the mud, and pryed the bike out in about 5 minutes. this cost me atleast one position, maybe even two. all in all, i had a pretty good race, no injuries despite a few nasty collisions and dismounts. i told my dad i was pissed that i missed the podium by one spot and he said, "well you know if you got third, you would have wanted second, and if you got second, youd want first." i replied, "so next time ill cut the crap and just go for the win." Sounds like a plan. I'll be ready for next year.
