Rider Updates
Next season, young rider Jayden Johnson will step into the 65 cc division as and 8 year old. After a successful season batteling it out with his childhood friends on the 50 cc class, he has shown some marked improvement in fundemental skills and race game mindset. In the off season Jayden is working out his new KTM 65, while putting himself through the paces to stay healthy, and get into shape for the more challenging competitions against kids as much as three years his senior. With tracks like the Washougal Motorcross under his belt, Jayden has broken through some tough mental blocks this year, and overcome the resonable fear that comes with hurling bike over a double. At his last practice in Eatonville, he was seen hucking mini tailwhips without hesitating or backing off the throttle. This is a huge growth spurt for a kid who was trigger shy going into the 07 race series. Jayden has been training on his BMX riding a custom obstacle course in his back yard that he and his dad built. With a five foot drop-off that even his dad hesitates to hit, jayden has been "going big" already, making short work of a big obstacle. The Johnson family is enjoying thier much needed downtime before race season starts, but young Grom Jayden will be the one to watch in 08 in the 65cc class.Rick WaltersAP
